Quality Assurance Editor

The Regis Company is a forward-thinking leadership and business consulting firm that creates interactive business simulations for Fortune 500 clients and large government agencies. We’re headquartered in beautiful downtown Golden, Colorado—home of Rocky Mountain spring water and the Colorado Alpine Club. We are looking for a gifted professional editor with uncanny copy editing, proofreading, and document management skills to help us out on a project and “as needed” basis.

Quality Assurance Editor—Freelance

You are a trained editor and proofreader with a knack for picking out mistakes in text, graphics, electronic media—and everything else you see. You are a quick learner and an MS Office guru and can work diplomatically with a variety of personalities. If you live to help make whatever products you work on the best quality possible, we want to talk to you!

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Performing copy editing and proofreading for written documents of all varieties
  • Examining content for logic, clarity, and consistency of message across projects
  • Verifying accuracy and checking sources of content when necessary
  • Ensuring adherence to our best practices and style guides
  • Maintaining and developing client- or project-specific style guidelines, when applicable
  • Editing and ensuring quality of online content, including text, multimedia, HTML, and XML assets
  • Performing technical quality assurance to verify functionality of online simulations and microsimulations
  • Working collaboratively with all staff, including project managers, other QA editors, program directors, and design consultants
  • Ensuring QA task deadlines are met
  • Uploading and formatting approved documents on the company wiki or the SharePoint site

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a similar discipline
  • At least five years of editing experience
  • High-level copy editing and proofreading skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style and Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, and the ability to learn and absorb other styles as needed
  • Advanced-level competency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, and CSS, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while achieving the quality standards established for each project
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects at the same time while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to focus and work independently (as needed) without supervision
  • Availability to be physically present in our Golden office one to two times per week as needed

Senior Graphic Artist

We’re looking for a passionate, supremely creative and down to earth graphic artist with vision for taking our internal and visual communication to the next level. You have a contemporary, market-focused design aesthetic and thrive collaborating with cross-functional tiger teams to create compelling materials that advance our brand identity (think: proposals, leave-behind assets, screen mockups, direct mail, tradeshow and conference materials and more). You’re a PowerPoint ninja who wants to extend our corporate branding through creating reusable assets, such as engaging PowerPoint and print document templates for organization-wide use, and make our emerging brand standards exceptional. The ideal candidate not only has graphics and PowerPoint chops but also has video/motion graphics production, WordPress, and/or marketing or technology experience.

Candidate will be requested to present a portfolio of their creative design work along with a brief personal summary highlighting their qualifications for the position. Reports to Senior Director of Experience Design.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and extend organizational branding/identity, including contributing to emerging branding/style guides and systems
  • Develop templates (e.g., proposals, Design Study materials, RFPs, etc.) for organizational use to support consistency and compliance with brand standards across product and marketing efforts
  • Support pursuit and active sales efforts, including creating slides visualizing emerging product designs (screen mockups and interactions)
  • Support client-serving teams by visualizing early Design Study outcomes (user journeys and design flows)
  • Create print materials in support of client-serving teams (Leader Guides, handouts, posters), and marketing (direct mail, tradeshow signage, website graphics)
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and outside agencies as needed for supplemental event materials and targeted marketing campaigns
  • Meet with teams and clients to scope projects as needed

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in graphic design
  • Proficient in Adobe CS
  • Base knowledge of After Effects
  • Demonstrable creativity and excellent design, layout, and typography skills
  • Lacks “pride of authorship;” humble and able to take critique with grace
  • Can manage multiple projects concurrently and thrives in a deadline-driven environment;
    agency experience preferred but not required

UX Developer/Interaction Designer

We’re looking for a flexible, collaborative user experience ninja who wants to tackle human- centered, real-world design challenges and help build a design system from the ground up. You’re a well-rounded professional who connects the dots between business needs, innovation and good design, has experience driving user experience from start to finish and is obsessed with user-centric design practices.

You’ll deliver UX designs and implementations that will help our products meet and exceed client expectations and take the user experience of the brand to the next level within an Agile Scrum environment. A consummate educator, you seek and advocate for ease of functional use and market-forward aesthetic for our clients. You enjoy taking on multiple challenges simultaneously, working in small teams and tackling everything from user research to prototyping.

Candidate will be requested to present a portfolio of their design work along with a brief personal summary highlighting their qualifications for the position. Reports to Senior Director of Experience Design.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement intuitive web experiences for client projects (50%)
  • Work with product leads and program management to define and deliver to schedule
  • Ensure UI designs are consistent through establishing and communicating standards
  • Research, collaborate on and implement design system and style guide across an in-house software tool (50%)
  • Work closely with Management and developers in a small teams to develop next generation solutions for user workflows
  • Analyze customer data to inform UX changes
  • Design and implement testing strategies for UX improvements

Requirements

  • 4+ years of user interface design experience, including information architecture and visual design skills (information design, typography, color, etc.)
  • Excellent design literacy, particularly around responsive/fluid and adaptive design
  • Highly proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, AdobeXD, and/or Axure
  • Experience participating at all stages of a project including client insights, conception, prototyping, and detailed design
  • Background in modern web-based, front-end UI frameworks and languages, including exposure to JavaScript, JavaScript
  • Frameworks, JSON and CSS
  • Experience using design patterns/libraries
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, agile environment and willing to wear multiple UX hats, including research
