CEO, Managing Director

Mike Vaughan

Since co-founding the company in 2003, Mike Vaughan has been the visionary behind The Regis Company’s simulation platform and methodologies. Prior to Regis, Mike introduced one of the first learning management systems and learning content managements systems to the learning and development industry. Mike has served as an executive and technology officer at International Learning Systems and Alignmark, a Thomson Publishing company. Mike holds degrees in cognitive science, computer science and a masters in cognitive neuroscience. In addition to speaking at TedX on the power of questions, Mike authored “The Thinking Effect”, “The End of Training” and “Strategic Performance Learning: How to Rethink Thinking”. Mike continues to do research in the areas of mental models, team effectiveness and agility.
Vice President, Operations

Kevin Himmel

As vice president of operations at The Regis Company, Kevin Himmel is responsible for supporting and overseeing software development, experience design, global deployment, and support functions. Since joining The Regis Company in 2003, Kevin has contributed to spearheading transformative learning initiatives at some of the world’s largest companies. Kevin remains focused on driving The Regis Company’s operational efficiencies by building intuitive and scalable software, emphasizing human-centered design, and supporting greater value through the use of agile frameworks. Kevin earned a master’s degree in instructional technology and a bachelor’s degree in management and entrepreneurship, both from Northern Illinois University.
Vice President, Client Services

Joel Janov

As Vice President of Client Services, Joel Janov leads The Regis Company’s client services division bringing his experience in organizational development, leadership development, and operations leadership to bear on the design and delivery of leading-edge learning and development programs for clients around the globe. Joel has been instrumental in driving client success at organizations such as Abbott Laboratories, BNSF Railway, Novartis, Intel, Ernst & Young, UPS, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and the U.S. Air Force. Joel has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in human resources development with a focus on organizational performance and change management. He is also a certified executive coach.
Chief Analytics Officer

Andy Tanner

Andy Tanner is the Chief Analytics Officer for The Regis Company, where he leads the Advanced Learning Intelligence division. In this role, Andy is responsible for enabling clients to measure their program effectiveness through analytics strategies and techniques. Andy also serves as a program director for all Regis Company data analytics curriculum which involves curriculum reviews, design studies, ILT and vILT course development, and development of data analytics business simulations. With nearly 20 years of experience in consulting executive roles for organizations like Ernst & Young, Andy has served multiple Fortune 500 companies in solving their critical business challenges through the application of analytics. Andy continues to champion awareness and acumen of Advanced Learning Intelligence for clients and market leaders, including participating in global speaking engagements.
Sr. Director, Client Services

Colter Harnas

As a Senior Director, Colter serves as executive sponsor for a portfolio of programs, including leading solution visioning, design, and development efforts. Colter partners with project teams and clients in addressing critical business challenges across both human and business dynamics. With nearly 15 years of experience in leadership development and management consulting, he has worked in a range of sectors including health sciences, education, consumer goods, financial, and professional services. Since joining The Regis Company in 2014, Colter has led numerous initiatives focused on change management, process improvement, strategic planning, and program management methodologies. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Sport Management from West Virginia University.
Sr. Director, Client Services

Tamika Pumphrey

Tamika Pumphrey is a Sr. Director of Client Services of The Regis Company. She advises consulting teams on solution design and delivery, enables learning and development across the team, and contributes to strategic planning and execution. Tamika brings 20+ years of professional services experience working with clients of all sizes from around the globe on Organization and Culture Change, Strategic Transformation, and key learning programs. Her background includes Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Design Thinking, Behavioral Science and Adult Learning. Internally and externally, Tamika is committed to growing people so they can have a positive impact on individuals, organizations and communities.

Ian Johnston

In his role as Vice President of Business Development, Ian leads immersive-based based learning initiatives that accelerate Fortune 500 organizations’ strategic goals and develop leaders that can thrive in an ever-changing global marketplace. He works with organizations across a broad range of industries, and has extensive experience working with Professional Services, Financial Services, Energy, Retail and Technology firms.

John Thomas

John has worked with hundreds of Fortune 500 corporate clients worldwide as well as with leading business schools. His 30+ year experience of designing, customizing and delivering The Regis Company’s 200+ simulations has provided John and TRC with a broad range of knowledge in the areas of leadership, strategy, organizational behavior, engaging others, customer intimacy and financial, business & industry acumen.

Dan Riis

Dan has served as Vice President of Business Development for The Regis Company for the last 8 years. He originates and fosters relationships with Fortune 500 executives to pinpoint effective simulation and immersive strategies that solve their most critical strategic, operational, and talent management challenges.

Kendrick McLish

As Vice President of Business Development, Kendrick leverages 20+ years of experience delivering innovative and effective learning technologies to drive meaningful personal development and organizational change and growth. Alongside his expert colleagues at The Regis Company, he works with clients to combine content, technology, and key outcome metrics to create learning experiences that address real business challenges and inspire meaningful changes across an organization.
