Michael Kester

Michael Kester is Co-President of The Regis Company. He also serves as the program executive for commercial engagements related to global strategic change, operations transformations, mergers and acquisitions, and major growth efforts. As a nonpracticing attorney who enjoys system dynamics thinking and modeling, Michael is a rarity.

Michael is a former consultant with McKinsey & Company in its New York and San Francisco offices. At McKinsey, Michael’s work included managing client teams for a manufacturing turnaround, developing a go-to-market strategy for a major consumer software product, implementing a company-wide product development process for a major software developer, and performing financial due diligence for large private-equity investments.

Michael also worked as a financial analyst for Lehman Brothers’ Merchant Banking group, now Trilantic Capital Partners, in New York, analyzing and executing leveraged buyout investments. At Regis, Michael’s clients include UPS, Walgreens, Deloitte, DaVita, EY, and Wendy’s.

Michael holds a JD degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, summa cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
